Exterior Badge and Sticker Part Numbers

There are several badges and stickers on the exterior body of the R32 GT-R, and whether they are present or not is dependent on specific model of the GT-R.

Front 'S' Badge

Factory on all GT-R models.
Positioned at the far front and centre of the bonnet.
Nissan part number: 65892-05U00.



Side 'GT' Badges

Factory on all GT-R models.
Positioned on both front guards (using the same part number), and behind each wheel (closest to the door).
Nissan part number: 65892-05U00. Now replaced through Nismo Heritage with part number 63896-RHR20.


Rear 'NISSAN' Badge

Factory on all GT-R models.
Positioned on the very left side of the boot.
Nissan part number: 84891-01U00.

Rear 'GT-R' Badge

Factory on all GT-R models.
Positioned on the right side (to the left of the rear taillight) of the boot.
There are different part numbers depending on the colour of the car as the badge is painted to match the same colour, however these are now discontinued in favour of a generic GT-R badge by Nismo Heritage that the buyer can paint themselves. I've provided all part numbers below just in-case any new old stock ones are being kept.

Rear 'V-Spec II' Sticker

Factory on the GT-R V-Spec II and GT-R V-Spec II N1 models only.
Positioned on the very right side of the boot.
Nissan part number: 84896-05U61. Now replaced through Nismo Heritage with part number 84896-RHR20.

Rear 'NISMO' Sticker

Factory on the GT-R Nismo model only.
Positioned on the very right side of the boot.
Nissan part number: 99099-06U00. Now replaced through Nismo Heritage with part number 99099-RJR20.


Final Notes

You may be asking - 'What about the R32 GT-R V-Spec model sticker?'. Well, there is none. The R32 GT-R V-Spec never came with a V-Spec sticker, only the V-Spec II did. If you see a R32 GT-R V-Spec with a V-Spec sticker, it's either an R32 GT-R V-Spec II sticker which has had the 'II' cut off, or the R33/R34 variants of the V-Spec sticker. Or even some aftermarket version.

RB26 Air Intake Temperature and Heat Soak

The RB26 has an air intake temperature sensor located in the intake plenum. If you research about it, you'll generally find people providing feedback that the sensor responds slowly and is impacted by heat soak. I plugged my laptop into my car's stock ECU via an ECUTalk cable and utilised their software to log the temperature sensor as I drove to see how it responds. Drive 1 To give a bit of context about the drive: I started logging at approx. 5:30PM and ended at approx. 6:30PM. The drive was about 1 hour. I was driving during peak hour weekday traffic. This resulted in a lot of idling in traffic as well as low speeds. Ambient temperature was about 20°C. Entire log. After about 20mins of driving (including a few minutes of warm up idling), the temperature sensor went from 19 °C  to 50 °C .
